Oak Grove Elementary School

Our School

Oak Grove Elementary School is one of ten elementary schools

in the Wappingers Central School District. It is located in the

Mid-Hudson Valley in Poughkeepsie, about 75 miles north of New York City.

Oak Grove is a friendly, inviting school nestled among

the houses in a well-kept, tree-lined neighborhood.

The building is set back from the road and is not visible until visitors

round a curve and come upon it. On the Oak Grove property,

there is also a one-room school house which was moved there in 1971.

It is used by students on a regular basis and some community

events are being planned.
