Message from the Principal

Dear Oak Grove Families,

Welcome to a new school year at Oak Grove Elementary! As we look ahead to another year of learning and growth, I want to take a moment to express how proud and honored I am to continue serving this extraordinary community.

With over 31 years in education, including 20 years as a principal.  I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many dedicated educators, students, and families. Still, Oak Grove remains one of the most inspiring places I’ve ever had the joy of leading. Our school motto, “Where Tiny Acorns Grow into Mighty Oaks,” speaks to our deep belief in every child’s potential and the strength of the nurturing, supportive environment we build together.

Whether you are a returning family or new to Oak Grove, please know that you are an important part of our school community. I am committed to strong communication and partnership throughout the year and will continue to provide regular updates to keep you informed and involved. If you ever have a question, concern, or idea, I welcome you to reach out. We grow stronger through collaboration.

Please mark your calendars, our first day of school is Tuesday, September 8th. We can’t wait to welcome your children back and begin a year filled with discovery, connection, and joy.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. Here’s to another incredible year at Oak Grove!

Warmly,

Mrs. Alvarez-Rooney
Principal
